Our new house in Boulder City

That's right! We have a place to live in Boulder City, NV. We went searching around Henderson and Boulder City a couple of weekends ago in search of either an idea of where we wanted to live or maybe even some potential housing options. We got way more!

On Saturday we drove around for about 12 hours and found a couple of great places. There were 2 places in particular that were only 2 blocks from each other and both in Boulder City. There was quite a difference in the price and what you were getting for the price. We decided we really loved this red house that we were looking at. It had a great backyard with a huge patio, a garage, nice kitchen and dining area. It was a cute older but well kept house. So, we drove home thinking we would pray about this prospective location. Our biggest, and most important, holdback was the price. It was above our original intended price range, but we loved it! We started thinking of all the reasons it would be worth getting this place...as well as the things we would need to sacrifice in order to live there. Well, after looking through our budget, praying, sleeping, more praying...we both knew pretty clearly that we were not going to live there.

On Sunday we drove back down to Boulder City to look more at the other house that we were thinking was a good option. This house, the green house as we called it, was cute...not as nice...but quite a bit cheaper. After some serious consideration, prayer, thought, discussion, attending church, etc...we decided we had to have this place! We called the landlord and told him we wanted it/needed it! We ended up having to drive home without signing a contract which made us nervous. But don't you worry, Blaine got in the car the next day and drove back down to Las Vegas to ensure we would get this place. He is so amazing!!! And his efforts were well worth it. Our landlord called us about 3 days later and said we got it!!! Yay!

It is a 2 bedroom which means there is plenty of room for visitors right?! If you haven't been to Boulder City...you need to come. It is a really cute town.

Megan, I love the house... seriously love it. It's got so much character, and I love the green. I'm glad you're happy about your choice. How far away is Boulder City from Provo?
