Nolan's First Birthday!

Nolan is 1 year old! My sweet little baby...

is now a little boy!

He has been such a joy in our lives and so many peoples lives! He has a way of making people feel good whether it be through his sweet smile, a big hug or a nice no nonsense conversation. He is a real people person!

He has learned so much over the past year (certainly in no order!)...how to roll over, sit up, crawl, stand, walk with help, breastfeed, smile, sip from a sippy cup, eat solids, feed himself with a spoon (and make a mess of it!), point, make sounds, string sounds together, say words (mama, dada, bye bye, ball), play with toys, give hugs and kisses, wave bye bye, scream, clap, mimic, climb, make eye contact, laugh, reach up at you, throw stuff, be gentle, make sounds for cars/trucks/trains ect. (all the same sound!), turn the pages of a book, bounce, splash in the water, kick in the water, play in the dirt, ride a trike, cuddle, play peek a boo, explore, open cupboards, open and close doors, climb stairs, talk on the phone, get excited, get sad, get mad, grab things, respond to mom and dad...ok I'm realizing this list could go on for a while.

I just love him so much. He really has made my life better. He is so loving and such a goof. He keeps me laughing all day (except when he makes me a little frustrated). His looks are priceless though. He has the bluest eyes and the cutest gap tooth smile...such a heartbreaker!

Hooray for Nolan and his 1st Birthday!!!!

Here is how we celebrated as a family (tomorrow I'll do his birthday party)...
Pancakes with whip cream and strawberries

Picnic with dad for lunch

Playing with the new ball Dad got him for his birthday

Chowing down on his favorite mac&cheese

Such a mess, but still so stinking cute

We stayed up late and played, laughed, ate, sang....then crashed finally at 9pm!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOLAN!

Happy birthday Nolan!!!!

Isn't amazing how fast babies learn? If we kept learning at that rate, think what we could do!

I love that picture of Nolan and Blaine on the blanket because it really looks like they are having a conversation.

Love you guys!
