Here's Nolan hanging out with his buddy Luke.
Some of the parade crew.
After your normal parade floats come by the "water entries" arrive. That is when the Boulder City 4th of July parade turns into a huge water fight. It is so fun to watch and be a part of. The parade participants and spectators are geared up with loads of water and water guns and/or water balloons and they just chuck 'em at everyone and anyone. People go nuts! It is fun to feel like the whole community is in on this water fight. It was hard to get pictures without getting the camera soaked so here are my best efforts.
Then on Sunday for the actual 4th of July I made a red velvet cake with the help of my neighbors Shania (6) and Cody (10). We were trying our best to look patriotic here!
It's a little late, but Happy 4th of July! We are so grateful for the freedoms we enjoy in this country and for those who have sacrificed so much to ensure we maintain our freedom. By the way, Blaine gave a talk on the 4th and did a wonderful job!
