Extreme Makeover: Gerbil Home Edition

Until yesterday, our gerbil has been living in various storage bins. They have always been clear bins so he could see out and have had holes drilled into them so he could have some ventilation. But, he is very good at chewing his way through anything plastic. We have had to cover up many of the holes he's made in his bins so he couldn't escape. But yesterday that all changed. We gave him an extreme makeover and bought him a real gerbil cage. It has wire walls, a running wheel, a little house, and a built in water bottle and feeding bucket. We watched him run around in it for a while and get acquainted. He slept in his house last night too. We think he is growing fond of his new home and hopefully will not be able to destroy it very soon. Welcome Home Gerbil! :)
